The use of cookies in connection with electronic services in Nepal is regulated under the Electronic Transactions Act 2063 (2006) and the Information Technology Policy 2072 (2015) issued by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of Nepal.

2.2 Analytics Cookies (optional — consent required)

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve it. We deploy these only after you have given explicit consent through our cookie banner.

• _ga / _ga_* — Google Analytics 4. Used to distinguish unique users and sessions. Expires after 2 years.
• _gid — Google Analytics. Distinguishes users. Expires after 24 hours.
• ch_ab — Internal A/B testing identifier to measure which UI variant you see. Expires after 30 days.

2.3 Functional Cookies (optional — consent required)

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your search filters and preferred language.

• ch_prefs — Stores your job search preferences (location, salary range). Expires after 90 days.
• ch_locale — Remembers your language preference. Expires after 1 year.

2.4 Marketing / Targeting Cookies

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. Should this change, we will update this Policy and request fresh consent before deployment.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some pages of our Service embed content or tools from third parties that may set their own cookies. These include:

• Google Analytics — Analytics (if consent given). Privacy: Google Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — Payment processing for Employer subscriptions. Only loaded on checkout pages. Privacy: Stripe Privacy Policy.
• LinkedIn / Google OAuth — Only active if you choose to sign in with those services.

4. Legal Basis Under Nepal Law

The Electronic Transactions Act 2063 (2006) and the Privacy Act 2075 (2018) of Nepal provide the framework for the lawful use of electronic tracking technologies:

• Strictly necessary cookies are deployed on the basis of contractual necessity — they are required to deliver the electronic service you have requested.
• Analytics and functional cookies are deployed solely on the basis of your explicit, informed consent, which you provide through our cookie consent banner.
• Consent is freely given, specific, unambiguous, and revocable at any time.

• Cookie banner: When you first visit ConvexHire you are presented with a consent banner. You may accept all cookies or only accept strictly necessary ones.
